Sun Salutation Sunday

In LA I was an avid yoga goer. Three times a week I would get my downward dog on at Earth's Power Yoga in West Hollywood. That paired with hiking Runyon Canyon kept me centered and in great shape.

Since moving to NY I haven't been able to get back into the yoga groove. I have tried classes and enjoyed them but found myself distracted and not being able to shut off. Until recently yoga hasn't become part of my routine. Instead of yoga, the amped up energy of the city attracts me to classes like boxing, power sculpt with Loi Jordon and 30/60/90 at Equinox - classes where I can really let off steam. http://www.equinox.com/regions/newyork

That all changed when my husband and I started going to Prana Yoga in Union Square. Side note my husband and I always work out together - highly recommend it.  One yoga class in particular really does it for me - the Prana 2 Music Flow class. In this class the music distracts my thoughts so my mind is STILL. And when my mind is still I find myself really embracing and getting into my flow. Namaste. http://www.pranapoweryoga.com/
